Whimsical - New Cole & Son Papers

With the Grammy Awards taking place in just a couple of days, it seems fitting to introduce something glitzy, over the top and downright entertaining. The Whimsical collection definitely gets our award for wallpaper of the week, giving us everything from stars to snails and whales.

For a fabulously fun feature wall then Cabaret fits the bill perfectly, with a stage full of prancing horses and rich colours. A great alternative to a children’s wallpaper mural, this design will give them all the fun of the fair but hassle free. The classic Cole & Son Woods design gets a refresh in three fantastic new colours – try out the soft blush for west facing rooms to make the most of the afternoon sun.

In a fantastic update of our long term favourite Woods & Pears from the Contemporary Restyled collection, we are over the moon to see the new Woods & Stars. Beautiful soft tones and that little bit of gold to add something magical. Green and grey are big colours for this season, so it’s no surprise to see them popping up throughout the Whimsical range.

Whimsical is full of striking looks that would work brilliantly for kids rooms. The Stars design has a pastel palette made in heaven and would work from nursery right up to teenagers. Mauve, putty and silver tones give a gorgeous frosty feel and keep a rustic vibe with chunky block prints.

If you could do with a bit of fantasy to get you through the winter months then Whimsical will let you be King and Queen of Hearts in your very own wonderland! The diamond design Punchinello wallpaper would be the perfect dinner party talking point in bold retro colours. Or make a statement by being bang-on the botanical trend with Secret Garden foliage to rival any Victorian-inspired interior. Staying on the plant life theme Nautilus makes a great companion wallpaper – a dreamy world of watery vines and floating fish.
