Spring Inspiration - Botanical
In this glorious weather it’s likely you’ll have spotted plenty of blossoming gardens, but this year botanicals have made their way inside too. A major trend prediction for this spring was natural materials, and after seeing interiors shows bursting with flora and fauna we have been tracking this growing trend to bring you our favourites.
These pretty, curled up ferns give a Victorian style; teaming natural tones with strong emeralds & lime greens offers a glowing tint of colour. Sanderson have unearthed some particularly lovely designs such as their ever popular A Painter’s Garden collection & new Richmond Hill collections of both fabrics & papers.
As spring comes to a close, plant motifs continue to dominate the interiors scene, inspired by Darwinian observational drawings. Cole & Son excite the senses with their statement Cowcumber wallpaper, using a fashionably intense colour palette. However, embracing bold patterns in earthy, deep tones has instant appeal without needing to be too daring with high trend impact.
The detailed patterns of weird and wonderful foliage can make a great key feature and these designs inspired with a contemporary take show how this is one trend that can add a bit of fun to your home. How better to liven up the living room than with some decorative wildlife such as this Squirrel & Dove linen from Sanderson, & Lorca’s new Louisiane collections.
Botanical patterns combine a clever mix of traditional design and with dashes of colour to effortlessly add interest to your interior, so you can get the glory of the garden this summer, even if you missed this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show!
