Harlequin: Amazilia

Harlequin: Amazilia

You can all breathe a sigh of relief – it’s finally officially Spring! Whether you’ve been out in the garden enjoying the solar eclipse or soaking up some rays from the comfort of your home, things are definitely heating up. Harlequin have got sunshine fever and gone all exotic with fluttering hummingbird motifs and mesmerising butterfly repeats.

The delicate hand drawn designs throughout these new collections are like pages from a spruced-up Darwinian notebook, capturing botanicals in picturesque detail. Soft greys for subtlety or hot pink for wow factor; this vibrant selection is a true flavour explosion.

The interiors watch word right now is Watercolour and Amazilia has beautiful, collector-style painted feathers adorning their Limosa fabric and wallpaper. Nature is taking the limelight really, especially with the pretty Pecoso design that’s flecked like speckled duck eggs. There’s something a little bit 1970’s retro about the range as a whole, from bold colourful prints to mustard yellows and lime greens.

Creating unique children’s rooms is something our designers are always being asked for, and what better wallpaper to suggest than Nuvola – rolling, painterly clouds in smoky pencil shades. It’s moody, dramatic and makes for an intriguing talking point.

For something simpler the Tambo stripes have just enough texture to catch the eye and warm shades that will make the most of the seasonal light. The contemporary florals of Amazilia are uplifting and artisanal, with hints of marsala and jewel tones. There’s a distinctly African vibe too with gorgeous elephants and the flamboyant colour palette.
