Autumnal Tones

Autumnal Tones

A change in season has undoubtedly arrived, & whilst the bright, pastel shades of summer are replaced by warmer, muted tones in our wardrobes, the same changes begin to creep into our home interiors.

As the evenings draw in, the idea of spending a night in front the fire is all too appealing & the prospect of redecorating begins to enter our thoughts.

To give you a helping hand, we have put together our top four Autumn/Winter colour palettes as the ideal starting point for you to give your home an update.

Earthy Alpine
The trend that brings the outdoors in, works perfectly with this Alpine colour palette. Draw inspiration from natural, earthy tones with browns & greens to team with warmer shades such as reds & burnt orange. This colour combination really fits with a rustic, organic feel, picked out here in the choice of pattern designs & complimenting furniture.

This tonal palette reflecting the natural elements of flint, slate & stone, lends itself to be used as a soft & sophisticated combination, highlighted here by the blended style of the patterns. Textures are key in adding depth to this lighter palette; choose natural materials like rough wools & silks to add to the organic style. Pick up on the purple hue to be on-trend this A/W ‘13.

Twilight Shades
Making its way on to our trend radar is a twist on the china blue trend of Spring. Indigo is the perfect interior colour choice to create a sophisticated look to your design. The versatile use of greys, paired with the lighter blue tone of petrol, work effortlessly to achieve these twilight shades that will dominate this Autumn/Winter.

Jewel Tones
With the changing season, the greens from spring evolve and develop. Emerald continues to dominate the colour trends of 2013; bringing with it of sense of richness while a deep shade of chartreuse adds luxury & elegance. Combine with with teal shades & a hint of aubergine, for a dramatic mix of jewel tones.
