2015 Trend Forecast
It’s been hectic but 2014 is finally drawing to a close. After a year that saw storms, Tour de France and Scotland deciding to stay, you’re entitled to feel a bit worn out. We’re giving you one less task this Christmas by getting you ahead of the game with our run down of next year’s interiors trends.
Luckily, the overall word for 2015 is Calm. Float away on an ocean of warm greys, creams and blushing rose tones. It’s a truly English palette reflecting the traditional rose garden, complete with blustery grey skies and winter sun.
For something warming, take note of the official Pantone colour of 2015 – Masala. Gaston y Daniela have matched this warm, curry red with botanical motifs in their charming Origen wallpaper. We can’t resist the deep plums and maroons from Malabar in their cheeky Inka patterns too.
If your new year’s resolution is to finally achieve that relaxing, tonal, chill-out space in your home, then stick with the earthy palette that emphasises the restful tone of 2015. Head for traditional brands such as GP & J Baker & Thibaut for muted golds & greens. Along with a bit of reorganisation & injection of personality, you will transform your home into your perfect haven.
For a similar feel with a more contemporary style, try the trend for mauve grey. Subtle hints of mauve work perfectly as a neutral alongside the vibrant purples on offer for 2015.
If however you were more thinking that 2015 will be your year for ‘statement’ design injection, then try picking accents from the colour range below as your first inspiration.
So once you’ve done all the unwrapping, cooking and merry-making, we hope you’ll take a moment to yourself to sit down and flick through our suggestions for some well-deserved recuperation. Cobalt is our last trend tip-off, as a development of the massive focus on blue we saw this year. Enjoy!
