About the Job
Leading a small team, you will be focused on making sure our website is always updated with the latest products across our product categories and then optimising the presentation of these products to drive our commercial success.
We are already market leaders in designer fabrics and wallpapers. We plan on introducing new categories including rugs, lighting, and furniture. You will take a lead with this, from establishing relationships with suppliers, to defining detailed product attributes, and project managing the process through to the launch of new products and brands on our website.
Seeking out new suppliers, spotting trends and gaps in our catalogue, and following through to getting products live and driving performance. It comes with the responsibility to make an impact and contribute significantly to the achievement of our business goals.
Our product catalogue is extensive, and there is a large quantity of data to oversee. You’ll need to have strong organisational skills to meticulous attention to detail. You will also ensure new products are published on time, discontinued lines are removed, and prices are up to date
In August we will be launching a new website (Magento 2) with integrated merchandising and personalisation technologies covering elements including intelligent site search, category optimisation and product recommendations. Part of your role will be to get the most out of these tools by combining a deep knowledge of our products with thorough analysis of the data.
You will have worked in a product category management or merchandising role for a business that sells online. You will need to have an eagle eye for detail, and be super organised. We are looking for someone with some experience of managing others, and your people skills will also be important when working with suppliers.
You will be someone who loves working in a busy, entrepreneurial team, and you understand the commercial impact that your role can make to our ability to compete online. You relish working to targets and are self-motivated to improve your own levels of understanding and contribution.
You will be numerate and have an aptitude for spreadsheet work, as well as being a self-starter with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability. You will be excited at the chance to help grow a successful brand and grow with it on its next stage of development.
